What RunItUp can and can't do
You'll log in to Facebook to let RunItUp create and manage ads for you.
- Can: see your ad accounts, Pages and linked Instagram accounts; create, edit and pause the ads you set up in RunItUp; read your ad results; list your lead forms.
- Can't: post to your Page or Instagram feed, see your messages or friends, or download the people in your leads.
Connect Meta
- If you signed up with email, verify it first with the 6-digit code RunItUp emailed you. Google sign-ups are verified automatically.
- In RunItUp, open Settings → Connections.
- Click Connect next to Meta. Facebook opens and asks you to log in.
- Log in as the Facebook person who has access to your ad accounts, and approve every permission Facebook asks for, including Instagram.
- When you're done in Facebook, RunItUp shows Meta as connected.
Only the workspace owner can connect or change Meta.
Add your ad accounts
RunItUp only launches into ad accounts you add. After you connect:
- In Settings → Connections, find Meta Ad Accounts. Click Show ad accounts if the list isn’t open.
- Click Add next to each ad account you want to use.
- Added accounts show up when you create a project.
You can also add an ad account straight from the New project window.
Accounts marked Restricted can't run ads, so they can't be added. Click Remove to stop using an account.
Disconnect
Disconnect any time in Settings → Connections. That also removes RunItUp's access on Facebook. Your projects stay in RunItUp, and ads you already launched keep running in Meta.
If something goes wrong
- An ad account is missing. The list only shows ad accounts your Facebook login can use. Ask whoever manages that ad account in Meta to give you access, then click Refresh Meta in Settings → Connections.
- Facebook says a permission is missing. Connect again and approve every permission, including Instagram.
- Wrong Facebook account. When you reconnect, log in to Facebook as the same person who made the connection.
